A question of style

All Art critics,
I have a new deck plan but a few questions.
* Should a deck plan have large machinery in the engineer spaces or is a note that this room is engineering good enough?
* How about the Low Berth room? a note or filed with symbols?
* Is a deck plan better with a numbered key or with labels?

I have been doing deck plans for 40 years and I must say I have for most of that time done plans with equipment other furnishings, but I am not sure.

Technologically-advanced self-fluffing deep shag carpet, cleaned by sophisticated robots so it's never grungy.

Interior paneling and fixtures in Avocado Green and Harvest Gold.

Macrame with alien fibers.

Genetically modified ferns.
And a bar. Always a bar. I’m guessing that’s what the corner room next to the laundry is.

A photo from my trip to Chile last year -- Project Cybersyn (wikipedia):
Control Room.jpg
Project Cybersyn was a Chilean project from 1971 to 1973 during the presidency of Salvador Allende aimed at constructing a distributed decision support system to aid in the management of the national economy. The project consisted of 4 modules: an economic simulator, custom software to check factory performance, an operations room, and a national network of telex machines that were linked to one mainframe computer.

Yes, the Darkness is modern, it just had the seventies-ish ness plus spaceship; good song though. Wow, that is really cool to have seen Cybersyn, I had read about it, but thought it would have been dismantled.

apparently planes in the 70s may have had a dance floor.
"Ah, for the days of the groovy '70s. While most contemporary airline passengers find their in-flight entertainment choices limited to a menu of movies and TV shows, the "Me Decade" saw airlines go all out with attempts to please customers aboard their brand-new Boeing 747 jumbo jets. Case in point: Air Canada turned the upper deck of its 747 into a 5-mile-high club for transatlantic flights between Toronto and Europe, with music blasting from 8-track tapes as passengers shimmied on a dance floor in lockstep with their reflections on a mirrored wall."

Jump tapes have a whole new meaning.

OK, back to the original question:
Is this more like what most people want?
For me, in my opinion? Yes. I can see the full layout easy and understand how it fits together into the whole. The stuff in the spaces are interesting, but do not stop me from seeing the overall layout. The numbers are clear and easy to ID. So yes, I would

Museum exbibit. Pleasantly surprised that these parts of it survived to be put on display...

Yes.
It's "enough detail" to get a sense of the interior spaces and compartments, such that if you needed to have an infantry firefight/boarding action, you'll have a decent idea of lines of sight and potential cover options. It also doesn't take too much effort to imagine an immersive sense of "being in there" to get a good FEEL for the spaces involved. (y)
