A Commodore 64 game just begging to become a Traveller adventure

Have you ever played Project Firestart? It is an "old" (1989, not THAT many years ago
) but great action/adventure game, somewhat a precursor of System Shock (a PC game from 1993). Reminds me of a larger-scale variation of the Darthanon Queen adventure (by Judges' Guild IIRC).

I think that as a "precursor" for my larger-scale Aboleth Adventure, I'm going to write a simple horror adventure based on this game, taking place in a 2,000-dton Science Cruiser in the rimward frontier of MTU (or anywhere Flynn wants in the Empty Quarter of the OTU
).

Re: Science cruiser horror.

I did that. Lots of fun. I put a 3600 ton SuSAG "space hulk" a parsec out from Arden, filled it full of mutated Chamax. The players are part of a repo team out of Arden tasked with claiming the vessel. Yeah, that was lots of fun.

Another old game that screams "Traveller" (even though it isn't sci-fi by any means) - Hidden Agenda. Replace Chimerica by a backwater planet, the US with the Imperium (by far not the equivalent politically, but a similar colonial/forieg police), the USSR/Cuba with the Zhodani or Solomani (ditto), and you have a very interesting TL7 planet to visit!

Hidden Agenda reminds me of Balance of Power. I rather liked also the USSR simulators although, they were biased toward the Gorbachev path way too much. There was a Freeware game called KGB that I once purchased that dealt with a Murder at the time of August Coup but I have not been able to find out if the extended version was ever released. Had good graphics (for the time) and an interesting plot. Can anyone help.

Be interested to hear what other computer games that people have transposed into their Traveller Universe.
