Mythic Mountains
SOC-6
Greetings Travellers!
I’m very excited to announce a fascinating approach to Traveller which, for those of us who have played it, has changed how we play. For me I can say, this is the only way I’d want to play an RPG now!
WE COULD USE YOUR HELP! Collaborators, tinkerers, referees and players.
We have created a digital clubhouse using the 1977 Traveller rules, but with a huge twist. We play in a nonstop Braunstein campaign. Travellers have complete freedom and total autonomy, operating in a fog of war with or against all other Travellers and Patrons.
This is hard to describe so let me throw out some examples:
Remember that part of the 1977 rules that says “Generally 40 players should be considered the maximum”?
That’s what we are doing.
Does this sound crazy? We’ve already DONE IT

- Imagine something like an MMO-lite, but via pencil and paper. Something like EVE Online or Star Citizen but done via Discord using the 1977 Traveller rules
- Imagine Dave Arneson’s pre-D&D Blackmoor campaign where players would sometimes command opposing monsters or powerful entities in a fog of war, with more than a dozen participants, instead of a single group of

If you
- Love things like Dumarest of Terra and Space Vikings
- Love the 1977 Rules as they actually are on paper
- Are of the deportment that you like experimentation
- Are not easily offended and not cowed by a competitive environment
- Are uninterested in causes and politics outside the game of 1970’s pulp sci fi being brought to the table
