Copyright question about idea posted on CotI forums |

Let's say I post something about a fresh new idea that I came up with entirely by myself, but set in the Traveller Universe. For example, a community of Droyne founded by krinaytsoyni and thus radically different from standard Droyne societies.
Further say that someone likes the idea but, say, thinks I got the biology all wrong and writes something about a Droyne community founded by krinaytsoyni that is pretty different from my post, but still recognizably derivative of it.
Can I prevent him from publishing his version elsewhere on the grounds that it is derivative and thus infringes my copyright?
What if my idea was a well-known SF trope combined with a well-known Traveller element, like for example Aslan Space Marines[*]?
[*] I'm not sure if Aslan Space Marines have appeared anywhere in canon, but if they have, please pretend for purposes of this question that they haven't. I'm thinking both of what copyrights, if any, I've given up by posting on this site specifically and of what copyrights (i.e. to Traveller) I didn't have in the first place.
