What the heck is Traveller8 ?

Serious - from what I remember reading, Marc was planning on bringing his grandchildren in to play as well, so wanted something more aligned with that age group.

Just a theory but the Liftoff version may be the instantiation of that T8 as it is intended to be played by younger people than some of us...

Early conceptions of it use only Characteristic Checks. Thus, it is a small, and primarily 2D, subset of Traveller5.
