What does this (K1 III M3 V D) mean?

Hi Fellow IISS Scouts,

*** What does this (K1 III M3 V D) mean? ***

Does it mean that the system is a binary solar system with:
* K1 III
* M3 V D (white dwarf)

Or a trinary solar system with:
* K1 III
* M3 V
* D (white dwarf)

I see very inconsistent notation over the T5SS star charts and figured that one of you knows what it "should" mean...

Sometimes I see "M3 V" and sometimes "M3 D". And sometimes just a "D". Not sure what it should mean.

Thank you!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

This.

In old (non-T5SS) data D was sometimes used as a size code so things like "M3 D" would show up. But not in T5SS data. (If you have an example please let me know - that would be a bug in both the data and in my validation code.)

Older data also uses "DM" etc codes for dwarf stars (per LBB6). Again, should not be present in T5SS data.

Stellar data is generally pretty messy, so for non-T5SS data it is not strictly validated.
