What a difference local gravity can make

Pictures vs Thousands of Words
Round 1
FIGHT!

Some things just don't make enough sense conceptually until you can demonstrably SEE the differences (and implicitly "get" them).
It's one thing to SAY that objects behave differently under different conditions of local gravity ... it's something else again to be able to WATCH those differences in action.

The gas giant gravity is dubious...
Saturn's gravity at cloudtops is a measly 1.08G ( attic.gsfc.nasa.gov/huygensgcms/Saturn.htm )
Jupiters' about 2.5...

If you're paying attention, you'll notice that the impact on the car is remarkably similar between the Earth Gravity and Saturn Gravity.
That's not an accident, I'm thinking.

Actually, Earth, Saturn and Uranus are all very similar, which is as it should be, as their respective gravities are reasonably close.
