Using CT Aliens books for MT CharGen

Hi guys!

I was wondering if it's possible to use the CT Aliens books chargen "as is" in MT, both basic and advanced. As I understand it, the only real difference is the 4+ rule and the special duty roll in MT, and advanced CharGen is the same.

I'm planning a campaign in the 1248 millieu and I need to be able to create some K'Kree "baddies"...

Aside from little foibles like you've already discovered, CT and MT are so similar that it shouldn't be a problem, especially for NPCs.

You need to add a special duty roll to each career as well. Use a best fit to standard careers, and you should be golden.

Biggest difference is in number of cascades upon the tables.

If, however, you use the DM's lists from the Contact! articles, or the "Aslan in the Imperium" charts in AM1, then just use those on the MT tables.
