[Travellermap.com] Booklet function

Not sure if this is correct in here or should be in Software Solutions...

I've got a few questions regarding the (awesome) booklet-making function on travellermap.com.

Is it possible to generate a PDF directly from the page somehow?
Are all the T5 extensions needed in the sector files or can one omit part of them?
Is there some software for easily editing sector files and generating output that can be used by the booklet maker?

Not directly, but all modern operating systems let you "print to PDF".

See http://travellermap.com/doc/fileformats - if you're using T5 details you need to use the tab or strictly formatted column delimited. If you're just using SEC that'll work.

The booklet maker isn't smart enough to leave out the columns if you're not using full T5 data, though - on the TODO list.

I can't help you there, but I'm sure others (in Software Solutions) can make some suggestions.

While I can understand - and to some extent agree - with inexorabletash's passing you a lmgtfy link, I'm going to note that Google can't really tell you which of the various products it provides links to are good/bad/indifferent, nor IMO should it. There's also the issue that some people don't like to use Google's search engine for various reasons, or may prefer a metasearch engine that aggregates from multiple primary engines.

With that understood, I'm going to mention that if you use a recent version of Quicken (Quicken 2010 or later for certain), it comes with a PDF printer driver that's only active when Quicken is (though while Quicken is open, anything can print to it), and two fairly commonly used freebies that I've had acceptable experience with are CutePDF and PDF995. The former is what is 'approved' by my employer for the office, if a full Acrobat Pro isn't needed; the latter is what I use on my own computer at home.

The booklet for Foreven has some interesting "features"; the total population figure for each subsector is stated at being roughly 8e+21 trillion. :)

Booklet for Foreven should be better now - treats X pop as unknown and qualifies the population as "known" and gives an unexplored world count if appropriate.

And re: the lmgtfy link - I didn't mean to make light of the question or the original poster in that case, more at my inability to help. My apologies.
