TravellerMap - big yellow map symbols?

On the TravellerMap, some systems are marked with BIG yellow symbols: Suns, outlined five-pointed stars and filled five-pointed stars. I'd swear they weren't there last year, and I couldn't find out what they mean. Can someone help me?

Sounds like you have turned on some experiment options, like indicators for Droyne worlds. Try turning that option off, or resetting all preferences.

The "enable experiments" box isn't checked, but when I reset preferences, the symbols are gone. But I am still intrigued: What do they denote?

Enable experiments, then try the options until you find one that matches what you were seeing.

(Sorry, I appear to be feeling particularly snarky today.)

Hey, this was rather helpful!

The sun symbols are "Ancient Sites", and the star symbols are "Droyne Worlds". No idea what's the difference between the different star symbols.

6-pointed yellow stars (big asterisks) denote homeworlds.

Hollow 5-pointed yellow stars denote worlds with a Chirper population.

Filled 5-pointed yellow stars denote worlds with a Droyne population.

8-rayed yellow suns denote Ancients site.
