The Voyages of the Free Trader Insert Name Here

Hi,

Any news about the publication of this adventure (and the following ones) ? It was planned to be published at the same moment as T5.1 :

"This 32-page PDF follows the exploits of any Free Trader as it wanders through
Regina subsector in the Spinward Marches. We'll release it at the same time the
physical books ship (that is, in August)."

Thanks
JNJ

Not a word that I've heard of. And that also goes for the 1st Kickstarter and the players guide it promised as well. Funny that the very 1st KS I backed is still not exactly completed yet after all these years. Not complaining - I am happy with what I've got and my group prefers Classic (hey, we play D&D 3.5 and the Fantasy Trip, but we do play a lot of new things as well. But T5 is, erm, complicated. Though a good ref, which sadly I am not, could hide a lot of that as most of it is really not actually needed to run a game. Just a LOT of dice is needed really from the player perspective if the ref can do everything else...)

I'm doing my part...

I do bring that up now and again, so know if nothing else Lord Glesner, Count Smoug has heard and continues to bear your grievances to the attention of the Court and The Emperor.

Have faith, for the Imperium is a vast and deep sea and many Imperial projects are being overseen.

Difference in perspective. I do not consider 10 dice to be a LOT of dice, especially when one should normally not need to roll more than 2-5. Of course, if players are into pushing their luck...

I, too, am curious about the fate of the promised Players' Guide. I asked about it in the T5.10 Kickstarter comments, but have not seen a reply. It will appear when it appears.

Exactly - perspective. Though for me Traveller is a 2D6 game. I understand the more nuanced approach with more dice to get better tuned odds as 2D6 does not give a lot of range for odds. And there are some really nice mechanics using the dice that way which I may still try in a game. But in my heart (:)) Traveller is a 2D6 game.
