The Second Survey

Unless the whole population lived under the ice of one of the outer moons. Ganymede may be inhospitable to some but it also represents one of the best places to colonize in the Jovian system. SImilarly, giant space cities a la Bliss could be constructed taking advantage of Solar Radiation for habitation. No need to be restricted to concept the world means that people have live on the ground.

With a luminosity of at least 60,000 times the sun  I don't think anything, not even planets, would survive around Deneb.

It's one of the brightest objects in our galaxy and hence my biggest beef with it. From anywhere in a several sector radius it would be so bright that even a total idiot could look up into the sky and say 'there's Deneb'. This would make astrogation to determine your position really easy.

In MTU I moved the actual star Deneb several thousand light years further away (where it should be). The Deneb system and sector is just called that because it's in that direction from Sol.
