Here's my draft of some basic guns and armor, ported from CT. This is only a draft -- suggestions are coveted. Thank you.

Update This doc is updated, and now includes stats for the "Archaic Weapons" found in JTAS.

The MP-5 Machine Pistol is the Autopistol?

How about:

Ubiquitous Autopistol (9mm):

StP-6 Std Pistol-6 (2) Bullet-2 1.1 2 0 150

Heavy (Magnum) Autopistol (45 cal/12 mm)

StMP-7 Std Mag Pistol-7 (3) Bullet-3 1.21 3 1 160

BP-7

I’m just gonna look at the designs in the order your pdf presents them in, and straight away the BP-7 presents a problem, with GunMaker itself.

Having a weapon type, pistol, with 1D and then creating a burden, body, that reduces damage by 1 leaves us with a weapon that does no damage. Your solution, suggesting that weapon must be operated with SnapFire, doesn’t quite work.

“SnapFire inflicts one additional D of Damage if it penetrates armor or protection.” p.214

An ADDITIONAL die of damage, IF it penetrates armour. So applying the rule strictly, you apply the T5 body pistol’s base damage of zero to a target’s armour and only if it beats it, do you roll the extra D.

So not only have you just taken an additional 2D on the roll to hit (SnapFire) but you can only hurt completely unarmoured targets. Even lowly Jack renders the TL-7 body pistol useless.

Now, this issue can be mitigated by making the BP a ‘standard’ design, adding both 1 to the TL and D of the weapon but that’s essentially saying the BP wasn’t a viable weapon until TL8, nonsense of course.

In respect of your design I suspect the Range is off, I interpret body’s *1 as meaning range is limited to one, but I’m not sure why it’s not simply expressed as =1.

The rest of the pistols...

ESnP-5 ans StR-5 both check out, the MP-5 should have a range of 3, the ELP-9 should have a range of 4 and the ADLP-16 should also have a range of 4.

Hunting Long Guns

StHC-6 and StHR-6 gave me pause for thought. The Carbine comes with range 4 and the Rifle with range 5. Given that, I am at a lose as to what the '=3' value for the range of descriptor 'Hunting' is trying to achieve. Hunting weapons have less range?

The rest of the Long Guns...

AR-7 should be range 4, blast and bang are the wrong way round according to latest errata doc.

ACR-10 should be range 3.

GR-12, ACR-9 and AltS-5 all check out.

StSMg-6 should be range 2.

ELC-9, LR-10 and ADLR-16 all check out.

The Man Portable Guns

The Burdens are wrong on all of these due to corrections currently detailed in the latest errata.

Corrected Burdens below,

StPGMP-12 B +1
MHPGMP-13 B +4
APGMP-14 B -1
StFGMP-14 B +1
MHFGMP-15 B +4
AHFGMP-16 B +2

Updated.

Looks like I have to update my GunMaker and ArmorMaker online scripts, as well.

Looks like I have to update my GunMaker and ArmorMaker online scripts, as well.

Range is still off on the StBP-8, ESnP-5 and ELP-9, bang and blast the wrong way round on the AR-7 according to current errata, everything else is okay.

And by okay, I mean kosher by the current version of GM.

Updated

I've updated the doc. A few entries have been adjusted or changed (I think), and I added in stats for the "archaic weapons" list from JTAS.
