T5 rules question about charater death

SOC-1
I couldn't put my tablet down after downloading T5.10 Book 1 and I'm going to re-read the book again, but I feel like I've missed something. I checked the ToC and index for character death rules and from the combat chapters I'm inferring that when a character takes damage they lose 1 characteristic point per hit taken and that character dies when they are out of C1, C2, and C3. So for a human Str, Dex, and End. Am I doing that correctly?

Essentially, yes. It can be more involved as a process (e.g., characters are Out of Action during combat rounds and the exact meaning of "Out of Action" is determined after the combat rounds conclude). Also, success with Medical (or similar skill) can mitigate a C reaching 0.

You are correct that for a Human C1=Str, C2=Dex, and C3=End. Entity dies when the physical characteristics (C1, C2, C3) are all at 0.

I had to read most of the text in order to start to get a sense about how all of the parts interact. So, be patient and keep your questions in mind as you discover more of what is in the text and tables.

Yeah, we have had that question since T5.0
The quick kill rules are the closest I have seen to directly stating that c1 c2 c3 = to zero is death.

Book 1, pg202

"total possible hits equals or exceeds the target’s Physical Characteristics C1+C2+C3. The automatic result is death."
