T5 character generation: nobles and navy

Perhaps those in the pre-T5 group have a better understanding.
This is not clear to me:
What is the Character Generation Skill vocation "Capital"
is it knowledge of a capital or the capital? If so, just k0 after being in a location for 1 year? Or is it an understanding of wealth creation? Or something else...

And in Academies are these Knowledge points or Skills?
NM Army Navy Marine School indicates Knowledge2 for 1 year but academies are skill points or knowledge points? Command College is 4 skills in 1 year while Academies are 3-4 knowledge points in 4 years?

Do i need to add any of this to the errata questions? I see a slightly different
unanswered question for capital.

It is an ERRATA item:

p. 93, 11 Noble, C Noble Skills, 6 Vocation (clarification): Capital actually means World Knowledge (world of highest land grant)

Matriculation.

The ANM Schools grant various Knowledge-2 upon successful completion.

Josephine Example is 18 years old and has a UPP 777777, she enlists in the Imperial Army (yes, it is real :p) and during her first Term she rolls an ANM School assignment. She then flips to page 100, goes to the table and chooses a Knowledge, in this case Mole, then she rolls 2D and if she can roll under 7 for either C2 or C3, she succeeds and receives Driver-0 (Mole-2), if she fails she gets nothing.

College, University and Academy grant Skills or Knowledges. College generally will grant a Skill or Knowledge at Major-4 and Minor-2, assuming no failed rolls during the Term. An Honors success grants an additional +1 to the player's Major, but not their Minor. Universities, Med Schools, and Law Schools are all 2 year programs.

Does that help?

EDIT: Sorry, missed the other questions.

Regarding ANM giving a Knowledge-2, they are speciality schools that cram scads of training into one short year.

By the way, Command College doesn't grant 4 Skills. Where did you get that idea? Or did I miss something? Last I checked it is just a 1 year college that teaches the character one of the listed Skills. Still, it is a College so as a Referee I would let you roll for Honors. :) So the best you can get out of Command College would be either Skill-1 or if you have a nice Ref, Skill-2 (with Honors).

The Service Academies are all treated as per standard College rules. So, 4 years Pass/Fail rolls for Major-4 and Minor-2 and a chance of Honors and Major-5.

That I think handles it. Questions?

Academies

Yes. That is close enough. I was trying to make a point that it is not clear on the Education 1 page. I might have said...4 skills/knowledge under CC do you get all or 1 per yr. The top of page says 2 years.

I find the page layout a bit unclear. As someone else said, a lot of examples will be needed.

Thanks Magnus and Whulorigan.
