Slightly off-topic question:
If a Black Globe Generator absorbs all incoming energy, does it also absorb the ship's mass signature? For example, where a normal ship would leave a small gravity well in local space - would a ship with an active Black Globe Generator leave no gravity well?

FF&S says that black globes are purely electromagnetic in nature. Mass would be unaffected - if you wanted something like that, get a portable pocket universe

That's what I was aiming at. The Black Globe Generator being an intermediary technological step to pocket universes. A Black Globe produces effects very similar to an Event Horizon on a black hole.Originally posted by Malenfant:
