well I have been reading the stuff on the TNE cd rom
glad i have it and will uses for a lot of the material, kinda glad I did not buy when it came out as my finaces were strained and it would not have been the best use of them I have focused on the regnecy stuff as my last travlelr was in the (late)rebelion era domain of deneb meaning early regency in a TU without the vitus (BTW Iid realy wish I could make our leaders in the world read about the virus as we consider the ww et al these days, it is scary but but very beliveable to me at any rate, but I digress.
It amuses me to compoar emy domain with the regency created by dave for marc et al saw an interesting to reference to a guide to starship of the regency which seems to have been not published (seeing an ad in cobat vechiles but nothing on the cd or drive tru or the wike about itso i assumed it died somehow) interesting that the biggest difference between my doain whcih I iassumed Norris was holding as regent till the civil war was won by someone as unlikely as that seemed with an eye to repat plankwell's and (was it arbella) who swooped in after the first civl war to beome emperors is the likely the starships . using megatraveller and the fact the depor of deneb was tl16 I played with R&D antimatter power system to produce samller capital warship (based on being able to fit a j class gun in 5kt hull as I recall and thus build Battle destroyers that greatly increased the firepower of the flet with ship that took reitively less time an dmoney to build vs captial ships of larger ship, they were tied closer to bases that true crusier but would have been soemthing aagaint the zho aslan vargyr and the vampire ships (gee can we get that stuff in frtot of real leaders again I digress)would be intersting to seeTNE designs intended for rengecy ships somewhere (any souces?)
all in all looks like usefull stuff can be mined from this for a hopefully upcoming traveler gam I am hoping to launch
