Skype based TNE game?

LeperColony

Traveller Card Game Dev Team
Would there be any interest in a skype-based online TNE game? I'm thinking a weekday night, after work, for about 4-5 hours.

Figured I'd try and give it another go.

The concept would be based around a group of Remnants (people who survived the fall of the Third Imperium) awoken from low berth to find themselves in a very different situation.

My time is limited (infant!) but would be interested in a TNE game. I haven't done anything on Skype in a long time.

Big fan of TNE though! Although I'd prefer a Star Viking/RC game since it provides that "mission-goal" direction that is sometimes needed in games. But I'd be interested in hearing what you have to offer.

I'm CST and usually available after 8pm.

I'm interested, but my working times can vary. I'm on Mountain time.

Haven't played TNE for a while and don't have access to the books if that's an issue.

I've had someone else express interest via PM, so maybe it's time to start coordinating a bit. If you guys could PM me an email address, I'll take the planning there.

I'm not really looking to do CT, but it shouldn't be too hard to drum up support if you ask around.

Also, if you are interested in trying TNE, feel free to send me a PM. I'm going to start organizing over the next couple of days.

Currently we have four players, with room for one or two more. We meet on Tuesday nights, around 5pm PST until 8-9pm. Our next meeting is on 2/25. If you think you might be interested, send me a PM or post to the thread.

I'd be interested in it just for the novelty of trying a Skype game, however I do not have any TNE rules or books (nor any interest in buying them at the moment). About the closest thing I have to that setting is the Hard Times book for MT. If someone could help me make a character, and then if I just need to say what my PC is doing and someone else tell me what dice to roll and what results from that, I think I'd be good to go.

The nice thing about TNE: it's always a 1d20 roll for task success. Lower is better.

Simple 4 x (Stat+Skill)
Routine 2 x (Stat+Skill)
Difficult 1 x (Stat+Skill)
Formidable: 1/2 x (Stat+Skill)
Impossible: 1/4 x (Stat+Skill)

We just completed our first gaming session last night (having met previously to create characters).

A big thanks to my players for a fun start, looking forward to future sessions.

Our TNE online campaign has space for one or two more players. We can teach the system.

Games are on Tuesday nights, from 5 to 8-9 pm, pacific time.

It's great. We jumped. We crashed. Someone got eaten by a gelatinous grue (Dammit man, I'm a doctor not a zoologist!). We were robbed. There are bugs everywhere. It's hot. The funny kid must be lying. We're in a swamp. We refuse to believe that nearly a century has passed. We adamantly refuse to accept that we've become a landmark for a city and an escapade for a adventurous youth.

But now we have a motor boat, a bag of scalpels, a handful of broken microchips, a busted ship (don't look at me!) and a plasma gun. So things are definitely looking up!!

Well, except for the whole "wanted by authorities" thing. That didn't take long...
