its wiki. which basically means its 100% accurate, some of the time. could be an urban/military myth, could be the truth-
That's why Wikipedia is big on references. Like the people who consulted the US Army Mortuary Affairs. Which basically means it's as accurate as the top authority on the subject is.

Hans, as someone who is currently attending University level classes, I have to disagree, in fact, as a student, the Professors teaching the classes (arguably the experts and top authority on the issues) explicitly tell us NOT to consult the Wikipedia as its amazingly inaccurate in almost every case when it comes to more than a GENERAL overview. Wikipedia is big on references because its usually not the experts doing the writing, and so you can try to get an accurate view by reading the source material. Sadly, most sources used are out of date or no longer accurate, and as entries are seldom updated or edited, Wikipedia is not very accurate at all.

The general level of accusracy in Wikipedia articles is completely irrelevant to the subject under discussion. What's important is the accuracy of the specifc article. So, then. The US Army Mortuary Affairs is not an authority on this particular question? Or snopes didn't consult them?
