Refurbishing Site

I am in the planning stages for a major revamp of my Traveller site residing at www.skaran.net

The site is currently split into two major sections one set in the TNE universe in the Banners Sector the other a home grown campaign. There was also a small MT vehicles/craft section and a few other bits and pieces.

Do people have any suggestions about this site, content, likes, dislikes etc.?

Many people have browsers that default to blue text for links. Doesn't work well with black background unless the text is rather large.

So, all those webring links are quite difficult to read. The MT vehicle index is a somewhat difficult to read.

There should be a way to override link color. Many sites do.

The text on your link buttons is in an odd, hard to read font. Other than that I had no issues.

I'd agree with the others. Higher contrast on the links would help. The graphic buttons are a bit chunky and could probably use some alt text. The only other thing to watch would be site navigation, but what you have now is quite usable.

Otherwise, it has some good stuff and I'm having a look through the TNE equipment stats now. (I was always a bit of a FF&S gear head.)

Point taken about contrast and general chunkiness. Do I really need a star/black background in anycase?

I'd say it's got a nice, cohesive feel the pic is nice, the grey buttons match the "console" flavor.

The button text is a bit small.

I'd also chnage oput the blue text on most of the page to.. something brighter, perhaps a light green?

Something. Though, not sure how the webring code is written, if you can change it, etc.

Seems like a nice page there.

Thanks people. Your suggestions have certainly given me something to work with.

I also have to amdit I had totally forgotten about the colours in the webring links.
