Real Time Classic Traveller Adventure Session

Looking for a small band of Adventurers for a Real Time game.

It will be run in IRC - there is a web-based Java Applet that will handle
the Adventure if you do not have an IRC program.

Set in the Classic Traveller setting onboard a 200-tonne Merchant Ship.

Looking for:

1 x Pilot/Navigator (filled)
1 x Engineer
1 x ex-Marine/Army for Shipboard Security
1 x Support Staff (skills of Medic, Steward, Admin would be great)

Other useful secondary skills would be Comms, Electronics, Mechanical, Broker.

No Psionics and preferably all characters will be Human, and I encourage a mix of Male and Female characters.

The estimated length of game play will be about 2 hours (there-abouts).

I'll provide all the virtual pizza and cola that we can drink.

I'll provide links to the deckplan of the ship, as well as other supporting gaming aids.

I'd like to try this as I miss face-to-face gaming but like the gaming group on these lists.

If this real time adventure gaming experiment works, I'm open to running adventure sessions in this manner every 2 to 3 weeks.

Though we haven't played the first game yet I think the time has been set to 7:30pm CDT (US) which makes it sometime Sunday afternoon for Joel. I think it would be about 1:30 AM Sunday for the UK?

The Java App doesn't always connect to the server, so probably best to use mIRC or some such.


The time is... *47 hours from now*
I'm GMT+10, so it'll be my Sunday morning (very convienant for me) and Saturday night for the rest of the world.


Game will be logged and posted on my website (www.mega-traveller.com) for all to view and poke fun at.

At usual, if more folks turn up and wanna play, there's always room for a another Red Shirt... er.. I mean Security Team Member...
