I only now just noticed it -- this is because the USP always flummoxed me.

There's a switched field, but otherwise the QSP is a short analogue of the USP:

Code:
USP BC-A2447G2-000510-50202-0
QSP BC-MS44
      1 2345
                USP QSP Notes
                ------------ ----------- ---------------------
1: mission code BC BC 'Battle Cruiser'
2: hull size A (~1,000t) M (1,200t)
3: hull cfg. 2 (cone) S (streamlined)
4: j/m. Jump-4. Maneuver-4.
5: m/j. Maneuver-4. Jump-4.

Yes, I thought that was obvious, it's the same basic information? All you really need of the USP for a civilian ship.

Looking at the Kinunir, the huge 1250 Dt "battle cruiser"?

Now that you say that, I think power, computer, and crew are definitely lower priority.
But for civvies, crew numbers ... I mean they'll usually be under 100 people, won't they. They can climb higher but...

When the crew count goes above 7 or so, the Crew Extension becomes unwieldy.

So while it may not be worth mimicking the USP to those fields, it would be nice to amend the Crew Extension to accept a number as an alternate to enumerating crew positions. So the Kinunir:

BC-MS44 Cx:45
