Psionics...not sure if this is errata or I'm missing something....

On p. 530, the psionic rules state:

"The characters has three times Psi in points available to allocate to the Psionics Senses"

The example further down the page states:

"For Example, Human Citizen Uvasti Seng 666B99 Psi-5 has found a new Psionics Institute for the Second Training. He has (Psi-5 x 6 =) 30 points to allocate among the Psionic Senses."

Okay. I'm reading three times Psi means Psi-5 x 3 =15. However, it says Psi-5 x 6. Is it a typo or am I missing something?

I'd go with your x3 = 15 idea. Often, rules will get changed. But the original examples are never updated.

Could it depend upon the psionics institute where the training was conducted? EG. If it's psi skill learned the standard way then standard rules apply.

If the training is achieved through a regimented psionics institute then perhaps that doubles what the psi capable character could have achieved on there own?

If we're going to be considering the different way that different institutes do their training, then we need to be looking at a lot more than just how many points a character gets.
