Primordials - Any Further Data?

I have been reading MgT Secrets of the Ancients and rereading Knightfall with the Primordials. It seems the Primordials had already exited the galactic stage by the time the Ancients arrived based on Knightfall.

Other than Knightfall, were there any further published references to the Primordials in any source material?

From a design and metaplot standpoint, was there anything more planned for the Primordials by either GDW or DGP material?

Summary:

The Primordals appear in an immature form in DGP Referee Screen adventure. DGP was going to use them instead of the Empress Wave to unite the Imperium & Zhodani Consulate in one big fight entitled Baddies from the Core.

From I understand, Marc never sanctioned this use of the timeline and by the time that DGP was going to use them...GDW had adopted TNE (at which point DGP left Traveller all together because of a difference of opinion regarding Traveller's future). Whether the good Mr. Sanger has a working manuscript or outline the events described above remains unknown.

So, DGP's grand plans may not have panned out, but the two artifacts recovered from their city are described in Traveller5's equipment list. I suspect that the Primordials either died out or transcended.
