Pocket Empires Computer Help

I just bought PE through DriveThruRPG and I really like it. I think it will help me a LOT fleshing out MTU.

However, the annual calculations are HUGE.

Is there any software out there that will do the annual calculations for me?

If not, I may have to put something together in Excel...

Thanks in advance!

If you find some let me know, please.

Seriously, I own PE in hard copy but would love to have a program to deal with the calcs needed to use it.

Thanks Rob, anything is better than trying to do those calculations 50 times for a 20 world PE!

THANX

Which brings up a good point. Perhaps there's a more interesting way to model this.

Take character generation. If you roll seven terms on one character, you're just about at the boredom threshold.

Therefore, as an exercise for this thread:

Model pocket empire development on chargen instead of economics. Represent all significant elements of an empire as a whole with six values ranging from 0 to 15 (Universal Pocket Empire Profile -- UPEP). Each round lasts 100 years. Pick up to four megatrends (war, revolution, infrastructure, survey, trade, whatever) and resolve, with the UPEP defining task difficulties, and contributing local world UWPs as DMs. Or something like that.

When that's done, you've got the big picture. Then, zero in on your favorite century and run through a greater level of detail, in 10 year increments, with more specific "decade missions" trying to pinpoint major achievements as early as possible and postpone major difficulties as late as possible... or vice versa in the two-player version...

Sounds like an approach to use with the Zhodani Core Expeditions. ;)
