Play by email game?

My preference is to use a rule set I already have, however since QLI was kind enough to post information on scout characters, with a little help I think I could get by.

Sounds like we're getting dangerously close to a game

Further opinions on setting? (I think we have two 'wildly ambivalents' for the Classic era)

We Need a distinctive name for the game - Yes I know it sounds corny, but a referrent is a very useful thing.

There are lots of short phrases with star or sun in them that might be useful. Alternatively puns containing traveller are also fun.

Any objections to "The Travellogue"?

Spinward Marches- Regina - suggested.

T20 suggested (people with T20 will have to help others with chara generation, like me

Is it too late to get in on this? I would love to play in a Traveller game, since I've always been ref for our group. Everything so far sounds agreeable to me. I would prefer either CT (which I own) or T20 (which I have preordered and should have shortly -- also play d20 D&D, so I'm familiar with the rules system).

About playing -- I'd prefer the email back and forth, or post back and forth in a yahoo group. I don't have a computer at home, and can only use my computer at work at odd times (early in the morning after everyone else has gone home).

Small ships are fine. Regina subsector is fine. Term 1-5 characters are fine.

I've tried to make it as flexible as possible, but if I've done something that we later think was a mistake, we can always create another and migrate.

Hopefully this will stop us clogging up CotI with our game.

Travellogue is fine as a name. Pretty much any name that we create is either going to be a little corny, so we might as well enjoy it.

I'd prefer a CT/MT game (since I have those rules already), but T20 is fine with me (does mean that I have to go off and get a copy now rather than later).

Classic period in Spinward Marches is fine.
