Original source of errata for CT 1977?

I'm probably overlooking something obvious, but in my searching I'm not finding what the original source document(s) is/are for the CT 1977 errata listed in the consolidated errata list. Were these printed somewhere (a GDW errata sheet, a magazine article, etc.) prior to the 1981 revision? I'm not questioning the errata themselves, just curious about their provenance for historical reasons.

There was published errata. Back in the day, one sent a self-addressed stamped envelope to GDW or GW and got sent a photocopy or mimeographed errata sheet.

Good to know, thank you. Some web searching didn't turn much up, but I wonder if a list of any of these by-mail errata sheets was ever compiled and made available somewhere? I'm particularly interested in any that were available for CT between 1977 - 1981. The curiosity itch that I'm trying to scratch is roughly when the various bits of errata were first made available.

The missing computer programming rules were printed in JTAS 1.

Thank you. The entry for the computer programming article in the Consolidated list (to me) kind of makes it sound like more of an expansion that was incorporated into the later editions, but when I actually took a look at JTAS #1, I saw the box of explanatory text (on the bottom of the preceding page) which makes it clear that the programming rules were "intended for inclusion, but inadvertently omitted". So, unless they had been distributed previously in a different form (one of the by-mail errata sheets, or in some other way), the computer programming rules can be dated to 1979.

In an "if it was a snake, it would have bit me" kind of moment, I've realized that one errata source has been sitting right in front of me all this time: Book 4: Mercenary. I had completely overlooked a paragraph on p. 43 in "Notes on Prices and Tech Levels". This is the source of the vehicle price reductions and the clarification that Mesh and Cloth armor were reversed on the tech level tables.

So that just leaves the changes in Advantageous Dexterity DM for the rifle, and the Hydrographic Percentage formula as source yet unknown. Again, this is not a big deal at all - I just find it satisfying from a historical perspective to be able to connect some of the dots!
