New galactic mapping without using hexes

Spinward Flow

SOC-14 5K

Break out the cartography skills, including reading the +/- offset from the galactic plane in light years.
With a bit of 2D to 3D trigonometry you ought to be able to convert light years into parsecs (with the help of a calculator) and have a 3D map of "charted space" for an ATU centered on the Solomani.

Spoiler alert ... you (still) need more than J1 to get to anywhere "local" beyond Sol's Oort Cloud, if J1 only yields 1 parsec of jump range.

Some estimate the Sun's Oort cloud now reaches out to 3.2ly. So you jump to the outer reaches of the Oort cloud - after carefully mapping the region of course - and establish a fueling/supply and observation station station.

That becomes your jumping off point to the Oort clouds of nearby systems.
