CT Only: My OTHER 2026 31 Day Character Creation Challenge: BeltStrike Allies & Adversaries

I undertook two character creation challenges this year, both Traveller themed; I posted these characters at RPG Pub, which is where the links go.

My goals were (1) to create a bunch of non-player characters for my BeltStrike campaign and (2) explore third-party character options for CT.

1 January - The Terrorist I
This character was created using GDW's Beltstrike (first term) and "Terrorists in Traveller" (subsequent terms) from The Space Gamer 46 (Dec 1981)

2 January - The Correspondent
The character was created using the college rules from "Scientists" in Challenge 29, the Engineer career from "More Citizens: Six New Classes For Traveller" in Different Worlds 15, and "Journalist Character Generation" from Travellers' Digest 2

3 January - The Home Town Hero
This character was created using "Interstellar Athletes" from Dragon 86

4 January - The Trauma Specialist
This character was created using GDW's Book 5 High Guard, JTAS 22 plus Challenge 29, and TSR's Dragon 55 rules for changing careers with GDW's Supplement 4 Citizens of the Imperium

5 January - The Insurgent (The Terrorist II)
This character was created using "RIPs in the Traveller Universe: Rebels, Insurgents, and Partisans" from Manzakk Publishing's Adventure Gaming 6 (this one's for you, Tim Kask). I also took the Persuasion skill from DGP's Travellers' Digest 2, which she picked up using the oft-overlooked sabbatical rules in The Traveller Book

6 January - The Gambler
This character was created using "Swords and Stars: The Expanded Barbarian Class in Traveller Game" (by Roger E. Moore) in SPI's Ares 16 (Winter 1983) with career changes as per TSR's Dragon 55 to Other from The Traveller Book and Rogue in Supplement 4 Citizens of the Imperium

7 January - The Patriarch
This character was created using GDW's Alien Module 2 K'Kree

8 January - The Translator
This character was created using GDW's Journal of the Travellers Aid Society 28

9 January - The Bodyguard
This character was created using GDW's Aliens 2 K'kree.

10 January - The Commander
This character was composed using a blend of GDW's Book 5 High Guard and Aliens 3 Vargr

11 January - The Scientist
This character was created using "Creating Alien Races in the Traveller Game" by Roger E. Moore in SPI's Ares 16 and GDW's The Traveller Book and "Scientists" in Challenge 29

12 January - The Minder
This character was created using "Creating Alien Races in the Traveller Game" by Roger E. Moore in SPI's Ares 16 and GDW's The Traveller Book

13 January - The Monitor
This character was created using GDW's "Scientists" from Challenge 29, Supplement 4 Citizens of the Imperium, and Alien Module 6 Solomani; the Civil Engineering skill is from "More Citizens: Six New Classes For Traveller" in Different Worlds 15

14 January - El Cantinero
This character was created using Cargonaut Press' Scam: Rogues in Space Vol II and GDW's Book 7 Merchant Prince and Supplement 4 Citizens of the Imperium; career changes were handled in accordance with "Filling In Skills: Experience, Service Switching Make Traveller More Ability Oriented," from Dragon 55
