Must adventures use the EPIC format?

The chapter on E.P.I.C. adventuring needs to be removed from the book.

A lot of games, I'll go out on a limb to say most, have a section or chapter devoted to how to run scenarios or adventure sessions. What makes the BBB different in that regard? Why does it need to be removed? Or do you just object to the EPIC system and think something else should be emphasised?
