MT & the Consolodated Equipment List

OK MT is now avalable as e-books so which books should I get so I can add more MT equipment to my list?

Please note that I have the "Imperial Encyclopedia", "Player's Manual", "Referee's Manual", "COACC", and the "Referee's Companion". The last 2 are nice new PDFs so I have not read them yet.

Hard Times is a dang fine read, a great deal for $7, and has some lower tech vacc suits (4-8) and a maneuver pack.

The Rebellion Sourcebook is good for MT story overviews and has some vehicles and ships but no equipment per se.

HTH,
Casey

All the REALLY NEAT goodies are in DGP stuff... sadly enough.

You need to get the erratta pages for the vehicles design from the DGP 101 vehicles...

Also, make note that CT Bk 8 is nearly fully MT compatable, and the conversions for using robot brains are in there.

Also, one important erratum from the referee's gaming kit:
multiply all craft DP ratings by 10, but NOT the weapon damages.

Thanks! So next up Hard Times, The Rebellion Source Book, and Heart of Oak.
Cool! Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the "jonesing for 1248" threadjack.

For lower level tech you can always use T4's CSC.
Hmmm it has lower tech EVA suits...(looking through spare copy)

I think if 1248 is done right...which looks like it will be from MJD's novel. We have plenty of polities operating in a One Small Step forward or quasi-Hard Times Milieu.

Bringing Traveller more in line with a Hard SF background and whereby we can start to see lots of lower tech but more scientific Traveller with fewer handwaves. I would hope that we would see also more lower tech spaceships and the return of spacestations and the like before emphasising things like Jump Drive.

Having just read an anthology of Hard SF, I am also looking forward to 2330AD as we seem to be heading the right way there too. For lower tech space suits there was also a Challenge article or two...one dealt with Traveller 2300 (compable with Traveller) and one that was a prelude the Hard Times that also had all sorts of options.
