Mr Keith, are you a member of the Communist Party or ever have been?

Spectacular stuff, kafka!

There was a guy on rpg.net, Polish I believe, who was going to design an honest-to-goodness, 1930s-50s Communist scifi RPG. Nothing came of it so far as I know. A missed opportunity. Comrades in space, rayguns vs. tentacled class enemies, what's not to like?

Oh, this is beautiful stuff. A friend of mine works on Soviet art history circa 1905s and 1960s, and the Sputnik era gave birth to some amazing magazines. Sort of like "Scientific Soviet."

The flying cities are definitely going to appear in the atmospheres of some gas giants IMTU, and I'll probably also use the honeycomb and sphere arcologies as well.

It turns out that the honeycomb arcologies were actually car parks! (from another picture on the site).

Soviet art is definitely interesting.

But more than Soviet art.... I'm a fan of Soviet Red Army Orchestra music! The rich voices of that orchestra is the best thing to come out of the (former) Soviet Union. It's like the Korobelniki done right!

Good finds, comrades. Soon we will put the vast resources of the entire galaxy at the service of the working class and its scientific social system. I mean, did you see the capitalist lackeys in that one picture? They were still bearing clubs!

Cities of the Underground

Did anyone see History channel Cities of the Underground coverage of Moscow and the military infrastructure. It was very cool and showed how determined they we're...
