Movement in Personal Combat

I’m looking at the Personal Combat rules and I’m getting a little confused by movement. Can someone check I’ve got this right?

Character (speed=1)
  • 0 (Contact) to 1 (Vshort) = 1 round
  • 1 (Vshort) to 2 (Short) = 1 round
  • 2 (Short) to 3 (Medium) = 3 rounds
  • 3 (Medium) to 2 (Short) = not possible
  • 2 (Short) to 1 (Vshort) = 1 round
  • 1 (Vshort) to 0 (Contact) = 1 round

Character (speed=2)
  • 0 (Contact) to 1 (Vshort) = 1 round
  • 1 (Vshort) to 2 (Short) = 1 round
  • 2 (Short) to 3 (Medium) = 3 rounds
  • 3 (Medium) to 4 (Long) = 4 rounds
  • 4 (Long) to 5 (Vlong) = 5 rounds
  • 5 (Vlong) to 6 (Distant) = 6 rounds
  • 6 (Distant) to 5 (Vlong) = not possible
  • 5 (Vlong) to 4 (Long) = 4 rounds
  • 4 (Long) to 3 (Medium) = 3 rounds
  • 3 (Medium) to 2 (Short) = 2 rounds
  • 2 (Short) to 1 (Vshort) = 1 round
  • 1 (Vshort) to 0 (Contact) = 1 round

Character or vehicle (speed=3)
  • 0 (Contact) to 1 (Vshort) = 1 round
  • 1 (Vshort) to 2 (Short) = 1 round
  • 2 (Short) to 3 (Medium) = 1 round
  • 3 (Medium) to 4 (Long) = 1 round
  • 4 (Long) to 5 (Vlong) = 1 round
  • 5 (Vlong) to 6 (Distant) = 1 round
  • 6 (Distant) to 5 (Vlong) = not possible
  • 5 (Vlong) to 4 (Long) = 1 round
  • 4 (Long) to 3 (Medium) = 1 round
  • 3 (Medium) to 2 (Short) = 1 round
  • 2 (Short) to 1 (Vshort) = 1 round
  • 1 (Vshort) to 0 (Contact) = 1 round

Looks close enough to me.

Do you use miniatures, Your Excellency?

Thanks. I usually use miniatures. But I'm uncertain if I would with an abstract system like T5.

My main concern with the movement rates is that the rules give a figure for bands 0-1-2 and another for 3-4-5 ... but don't say which to use when going from 2-3 or 3-2. (Or it does say somewhere and I haven't found it yet.) So I made a guess.

(I'm thinking of doing another 'how to' video on YouTube but wanted to get my facts as straight as possible first.)

I'll see if I can digest the movement rules tomorrow and give you a more thorough fact checking. I'm a horseshoes and hand grenades kind of guy with this kind of RPG minutiae, but it will be good to know how it's supposed to work.
