Question for the 41st I.S. or anyone “familiar” with Imperial law.

How much does it cost to . . .
Acquire a mercenary license?

Per soldier or sailor?
Per ship?
As the commander/responsible party?

I don't know if this would be of any help, or if it's too late anyway, but there is an active measure on freelancetraveller that deals with small-scale merc licensing.

I'd do it for star mercs by ship, or by commander for more than just one ship.

Travellers Digest #14 has an article on Starmercs and the license is by ship, classed by dton and regulated and issued by the Imperial Navy.
