Looking to Socialize

50 Slot Team Speak 3 looking for PnP gamers.

I do have rules of conduct for members which can be found under Article IX of the Constitution and Article IX of the Bylaws.

This was initially set up for MMORPGs with an intended target of the Masquerade RPG that didn't happen.

If you don't have TS3, you can get it here.

[PM me for connection details.]

Currently, my very small group is composed of members who are all over 18 as computer games we play are rated Mature under ESRB guidelines.

See you soon!

I attempted an invite to meet VOIP

I placed an open invitation in Recruiting to meet in my TS server where I would like to support some online role play. I provided the information, including links to the Constitution and Bylaws I had carefully written to support online gaming - initially on the MMORPG side but always with the intent of eliciting real role play for the two games I want to support. Traveller is one of them.

The information I game included not only how to get TS3, create a bookmark for my TS3 server, and drop in, but also the code of conduct to which my tiny little group of players adheres. Things such as not imitating employees of publishing companies where they are not employed, of game company developers, of posting pictures of victims of torture and rape, the use of pejorative language as slurs towards people of various racial or ethnic backgrounds, and sexual or gender orientations, etc. For providing this information my invitation was dismissed.

I am sorry those of us that might have developed some kind of collaborative effort did not get an opportunity. Perhaps you will find some other way to find me. I do go by Whithers in The Secret World if you are ever in there. I wish you all the best. As the toast goes,"To more friends, and less need of them."

We (the moderators) just requested that your private information be kept private.
Sorry for the confusion.

As a player, you may want to be a little clearer on what game it is you are playing.
It was not clear to me in the first post if this is Traveller or not ... and the Mature Content warning made me think "not".

[m;]Don't post links to your server in the open. Make the invite, and send that data via PM, not open post.[/m;]

Note that it's the links that are getting you in trouble, not the invite.

It's unclear whether you're inviting for Traveller or not, you're violating the posting guidelines with the way you're forming the links themselves, and it's looking like you haven't actually bothered to read the board rules.

Board rules are at: http://www.travellerrpg.com/CotI/Discuss/faq.php?faq=cotirules

[m;]When the staff deletes something, and you immediately repost it, that also is an infraction waiting to happen.[/m;] (Usually, we soft-delete it, discuss it, and if it's over the line, fix it then restore it; if it's not but close, we restore it after moderator consensus - which seldom takes more than a day or two.

Also, the wording "looking to socialize" implies a non-play oriented situation - which makes it a violation of standing policies going back 15 years. The recruiting forum is ONLY for recruiting for play.

Just an observation but any invitation that doesn't tell me about the kind of game or background story but first refers me to a code of conduct and by-laws makes me go: YIKES....nope :oo:

Maybe try again with a little info on what version of Traveller you're working from and some details of the campaign or scenario you're currently playing.
