PURPOSE. To be a one-stop-but-limited, rules-agnostic, Library Data for the Third Imperium in 1115.
Formal Cause (I think). There is so much library data scattered throughout Traveller material, that it can be hard to find a particular informational entry to something in the game. The essential features of the OTU needs consolidation.
One Stop. It consolidates library data found in the MegaTraveller Imperial Encyclopedia, CT supplements, adventures, and so on. Where applicable, it includes more current library data (e.g. Abyssals, the QSP, et al).
Limited. It excludes details and data when it's been done better in accessible ways -- for example, Don's integrated timeline won't be replicated here.
Rules-Agnostic. Tasks and processes are omitted.
Third Imperium 1115. This is an OTU work. Though it is largely a "year 1115" effort, it will retain notes on the Rebellion and other eras. Entries are tagged specifically so you don't have to guess, with a default of OTU 1115.
