In the latest news brief we find:

-----------------------------------

Kamsii/Core 020-1124

Received: 020-1124

The public relations office of KamsiiCo announced today the temporary closing of Droyne Land, one of the resort world’s most popular attractions. “We regret the necessity of closing so popular an exhibit, but the board felt it was in the best interests of the Droyne community on Kamsii,” a spokesman said earlier today. “Droyne Land was intended to be a representative community of Droyne, but the board and the leaders of the oytrip both agreed that the community on Kamsii was a typical Droyne community or representative of Droyne society. We have closed the attraction, and will not re-open it until we can create a truly representative Droyne settlement on Kamsii.”

For the present, the Droyne on Kamsii will remain on the world, but will no longer receive guided tours. The KamsiiCo spokesman hastened to add that Hiver Land (operated with the full cooperation of the Sociology Club of Kamsii) remains as popular as ever, and will continue to operate.

-----------------------------------

To me, there is a non-sequitur in the middle of the first paragraph.

First it says that the droyne land was supposed to be typical and representive.

Then it says that "but" the board and the droyne agreed it was typical and representative.

?

Any ideas?

Did someone just omit a "not"?

Well, if you want a definitive answer, you will likely need to hit the SJG boards.

However, I think it is completely obvious that "not" was dropped. Pretty simple typo error.

Now, if it was Hiver Land closing, then you would have a real question ...

Carnavals can be pretty scary places, to have an entire world covered in them makes things all the more scary. Now, one knows from other places, the Droyne usually have a sense of something more wicked coming.
