Am I alone in finding the starship creation rules just a little hard to follow? It seems that the fuel required for a power plant needs to take up more volume than the hull, as it says that the volume of fuel must equal the power output (1, 2, 3 etc) times the hull number, now the only hull number I have found is the hull tonnage (i.e. 100 etc), so this mans that a scout ship needs a power plant fuel tank of 200T!

Umm, really, I don't want to lose my Hall Pass, but the answer seems to be....ummm, yeah, I think I wait for Don or Rob on this one, but this is being discussed and a consensus has been agreed to, but it's not that bad.

T5 retains those absurdly inefficient power plants, does it? Too bad, because that has implications for the setting (It affects starship earning potential considerably). I'd hoped for better.

Anyway, in CT it's based on power plant number, not hull tonnage. Is 'hull number' by any chance equal to hull tonnage divided by 100?

As much as I hate to do this, I think this really needs to go over the wall into the private forum for answers.

And, I'm with Hans here -- I'm hoping we'll shake that power plant issue at some point.
