Hail Mary - LFG Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

Ok, the odds of this are very, very long, but what the hell: Looking for a group in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. I'm 5 minutes from Aramco and I'd run a game if anyone is interested. Also, have tea will travel! ;)

Brother, I wish you the best of luck with getting a game together there.

I was there for 18 months for the first "sandbox exercise" (my term for it),
Kinda stinks don't it?

Have you heard the one where deserts are a dry heat?

Not if that desert is also a port city, right.

Good Luck Brother and Thank You For Serving Sir!

Don't know if it's what you are looking for, but virtual table top (VTT) software such as fantasy grounds (www.fantasygrounds.com) might help you get some games going. It removes the "where you are" from the equation. I have been using it for a few years and it's great. One of my players who has recently come back from Iraq said the best thing about it is that if he has to go abroad again then all he needs is his laptop and he can still join in the games.

You got it. The humidity started 3 days ago and it's not going to let up for months. On the plus side.. only 2 years left! :(

Thanks, I'll take a look at it. :)

I know of a bloke in Bahrain who also is LFG... not a traveller player, but...

And I don't know how much of a travel hassle that might be...

Can you shoot me his email via a PM? It's about an hour for me to be in Manama, and that's with an international border crossing. We are over there every other weekend anyway. Bahrain is the best thing about Dhahran... THANKS!

I am not in the military and cannot go there to play, but if you ever make it to MA/USA look me up and we can do Traveller, even if it's just a one-shot.
