Generally favourable

That;s good because it is on my want list. Does anyone know if SJG is going to continue to do distinct cultural entities in and around the Third Imperium.

Personally, I would like to see the worlds around Illesh covered especially Verge which seems to be a mini Rebellion hotspot or a more fuller and detailed treatment of the Hinterworlds...although, I do no agree with how they protrayed the Stalkers in either GDW or SJG products. (I always envisioned them as elongated Hivers like Niven;s puppeteers)

They started doing the Traveller's Guides (of which Sword Worlds is the first and so far only book) because the old 48-page Planetary Surveys weren't worth making any more (too expensive to produce). If SW sold well, the idea was to make more.

However, I dunno what the plan is with GURPS 3I anymore now that GURPS 4e is on the way. Last I heard, GT:Nobles was going to be the last book published for GURPS3e (and the 3I) before GURPS 4e and the Interstellar Wars era books come out.

I think Jon said something about there being a possibility that new 3I stuff might become available electronically through e23 (assuming that ever gets off the ground). Whether that still stands or not - or was anything more than an idea - I cannot say.
