Not sure if this has been brought to anyone's attention but is worth checking out:

It's done in several different projections, including our traditional dodecahedron.

It's done in several different projections, including our traditional dodecahedron.

The dodecahedral projection is taken from the canonical map in WBH, but for some reason it has been shifted half a triangle. Also, although the gross details are the same, the fine details, such as the coastlines, seem to be changed in small ways from the original (not just distorted -- the projection should be the same) in places.
