Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
You know, if the Droyne were 'terraforming' those worlds then why didn't they turn them into something better for droyne? Why not colonise the small worlds and give them unreasonably dense atmospheres?

The good folks at DGP chose to include terraforming too far up their expanded tech tree IMHO.
IIRC, the expanded tech tree was in the MT Refs Companion (not decanonized).
But while we are on the topic, has anyone done an article/analysis table on hostile worlds and biologies? DGP included such effects in the WBG as alternates for the standard tainted atmospheres, but it's straight up random instead of linked to any cause-effect type mapping.

What're you trying to say? Aren't those the sorts of implausible worlds you hate?
Well, the droyne would have had to evolve somewhere. I forget if GT:Aliens 3 says anything specific on the topic, but perhaps it was the case that droyne were originally evolved on a larger world, but their time in space and natural and self-inflicted evolutions made them better evolved for space/low-g, but then they found a need for worlds and made some.
But while I can buy giving a world an O2 atmosphere, giving a world an atmosphere period is a little harder for me to swallow.

The CT Droyne Alien Module suggests that the homeworld should be between sizes 3 and 6, atmosphere 8, and hydrographics 3+.
The two Droyne worlds in the Spinward Marches fit this profile:
Andor C695
Candory C593
note that the atmospheres are tainted for humans, a left-over bio-weapon defence perhaps...

Good question. I did download it when it was a freebie on DTRPG. I'll have to take a look. (Unfortunately, as it was DRM, its not something I could slap on my thumb drive, so I'll have to wait until I get home.
It's worth a look as their policy has shifted a little (and you CAN re-download watermark PDFs), but as far as I know, once the window has past, your SOL and watermark and DRM are in separate systems on their server.
I'll try to run over and look. But my hopes aren't high. (If I could do that with all the DRM freebies, I would so do it, as it improves their portability immensely.)
