I'm afraid that I can't participate - my personal schedule doesn't normally allow me to stay up very late - but I'm posting to this thread just to offer folks some conversion data for the times:

The UK is either on British Summer Time or Greenwich Mean Time. When the United States and the UK are both on Daylight Saving/Summer Time, the time difference between the east coast of the United States and the UK is five hours - Noon GMT is 0700 EST (0600 CST, 0500 MST, 0400 PST). The east coast of Australia is fifteen hours difference from the US east coast, so ten hours difference from UK - Noon GMT should be 2200 Australian Eastern Standard Time. HOWEVER, the seasons are backward in Australia, so they're probably on Summer Time when the UK is not, and vice versa - so when the UK is on GMT, it's probably ELEVEN hours difference - Noon GMT = 2300 AEDT, and when the UK is on BST, only NINE hours difference - Noon BST = 2100 AEST (and similar tweaking - sixteen and fourteen - from US east coast time).

thats cool, I understand that. thats why i'd let some American players depending on where they live, ie closer to the east coast. British summer time is GMT as thats runs in time with the nuclear clock, (sorry still know that from school. Eeek). But thanks for the interest.

Actually, British Summer Time is 1 hour ahead of GMT.
The UK is on GMT during the winter after the clocks go back an hour in October.

Edit: Ewan beat me to it.

thanks

Thanks for the correction. Did wake up this morning thinking I was wrong.

Right can we keep the thread to its originial purpose.

I am planning to make my own setting, with Jump drives working differently, new ships and space stations on subsector maps, not just worlds.

I have already got a few ideas.
One being that there will be an npc captain or owner who has given the crew free reign of the ship.

I would consider doing it by PBeM.
