Eureka Minis 300 Club: SF Lion Men

I recently was informed by a gamer in another forum that Eureka Miniatures' 300 Club (15mm minis) is proposing a set of SF Lionmen minis. These will be 'generic' lionmen (not Aslan-but usable as such). For those unfamilar with Eureka, the 300 are proposals for 15mm miniatures to be created by Eureka if they received 600 pre-orders. Since there are limited good figures for Aslan (I've used Stan Johanson bearmen I got for my birthday as Aslan mercs) unless you pay big bucks on Ebay, these might fill a needed void. The drawback is that Eureka is in Australia & some might not want to pay the shipping. Though shipping was reasonable at the last time I ordered from them (warning this was 2007).

Below is the link for the 100 Club (25mm) & the 300 Club entrance.

Note that there is a US and UK distributers for them. Also that there is a minimum nuber of orderers not just a minimum number of figs ordered. For the 100 club it is 15 people for 300 club it is some what more. 20?

What is the minimum numbers of orders? That's somewthing I don't know. The total numbers of preorders (each order equals one mini) is at 500+ currently.

They also have in the 300 club Ventaurans- what a bunch of people on TMP (The Miniature Page) call not-Zhodani, the same way the Lion Men are called not-Aslan.

In any case while there is a lot of human 15mm figs, there are very few aliens. So I glad someone trying bridge the gap. I have ordered from Eureka in the past (but not since 2007), & they have been very reliable & quick. Haven't tried their US distributor, though.

Site Report

I have visited their shop. They are a friendly bunch of guys.

They seem to have the shop generally filled with wargamers who are chatting as much as shopping.

They do all their casting themselves. If you have an order and give them notice they will happily cast to order. It more or less insures that you get the mix you like.

I put in my order for a company of lion men.

Justin.
