ESSM Launch

Bill, I'm a firecontrolman in the navy, and even have the clearance to know the specs on the essm, yea your stats are off ..probally not from a reliable source and I can't tell you if your shooting high or low, I can tell you that essms out of launcher about 5-8 yards later are already going 90 degrees...you use essms for close in air threats when a sm-2 isn't going to cut it. The sm-2 is a alright missile its a Air to air missile adapted for surface to air, but yea we in the navy repeating shoot down other missiles skin on skin (not the best way to do it you want to use the frag warhead) and even that satellite that was in sub orbit and going crazy fast. Oh, and look up dahlgren rail gun..i was stationed out there for a year..crazy shit..I think its even on you tube..
