After getting out, Cheval joined up with a group of mercenaries, and started his ruthless, and sometimes bloody rise to the top of the heap. No matter what the adventure, Cheval always engaged in some speculative trading, which always made some money for him. After one adventure where they stole two merchant starships, Cheval used this with the agreement of the other players to start Cheval Enterprises, a ruthless, trading company, known for its sharp business practices. Cheval was a master of the Min/Max trade, and ended up founding on the world Sutekh his own kingdom, at which point he was relegated to NPC status. But the player was still allowed to work on the trading, and financial end, and Cheval is very, very wealthy, and well connected.
