Does Anyone use T20 with MO

Yep that's right, I'm just wondering if anyone out there is currently using the T20 rules with T4 sources material 'Milleau Zero' etc. I've tried it and it works very well so far.

I like the frontier feel of M0, in which even a single parsec is a vast distance, with the possibility of neighbouring worlds having been cut of from each other for centuries and hence forming their own completly independant cultures giving players a feeling of true exploration.

Can I have some comments please...

That same feeling is what is attracting me to the TNE 1248 milieu. Add to that the fact that the future beyond that is not written, and you've got a license to move forward unhampered and explore.

But I can see what you mean about using T20 in an M:0 setting, and wish you the best in your continued enjoyment.

While I haven't tried it with T20 yet, I would think it would be good. As I have never got the whole history of CT, MT, TNE, I've never felt there was a limitation. If the group diverges, then there is a new history. After all, unless you run strickly with modules, the Ref is altering history from the git go. Why can't the players.

Sorry about the rant, I've never felt that because the game has a documented history, that I or the player couldn't divieate from it. That has been a major sticking point with me in all RPG's that I've played (It's got a future history that we can't alter, woe is us). Bahh, it's time for some paradox!!!

To paraphrase if I may
"no plan of future history survives contact with the players"
As has often been said, the OTU becomes YTU as soon as you start to run it. The only rule is to have fun.

Novel Idea. The T20 system would be ideal for the Millieu 0 setting putting adventures and adventurers at the very birth of the Third Imperium, where ther is strife and Imperial Expansionism throughout the Universe. The structure of the game system would not change much, but by creating the right materials and supplements as well as conversion rules, it would be a successful venture.

Thanks for the input guys, I am currently busy converting the T4 book starships for T20, and a few other designs from the M0 source book. When they are complete I'll post a message on the boards, so that you can have them all for free.

As for 'future history', I quite agree, the dramatic decline of the Imperium need not happen in YTU, whilst this destructive future of conflict and virus is so far in the future of M0 in any case that it could scarcely concern the players. After all none of us can guarantee that our present civilisation will exist in some form or another a thousand years from now. We all hope that it does though, because it makes us feel safe and for some people contributes additional meaning to their lives, but the essence of life is change...

I have been converting my old T4/M:0 ship designs to T20. It's been interesting. FFS2 alowed alot of things you wouldn't do in HG or T20. I have had to convert weapons over such as laser bays. Other than that they are pretty standard TL12.

I am also playing with other Milleu. M:100 - The Pacification Campaigns. M:600 - The Civil and 2nd Frontier War. (This setting has many adventuring possibilities). In addition to M:1000 and M:1100.

Visit my site for the ship designs, but take note I will be renovating it.

Cool. I would love to host them on the new www.pocketempires.com site when you are done if you like. Or at least point to where you publish them.

Cheers,

Jo

Hey thanks for the post, I've nearly finished them and will send them over to you soon (next 7 to 10 days). Thanks for your interest. Hope you do well with the new site.

P.S. I've also converted Heplar and Fusion+ to T20, as they are part of the MO back-drop/story etc, so I'll send those as well.
