I'm looking for copies of "Dwarves in Space" and the CT adventure "Green Horizon", originally published as articles in Dragon Magazine back in the late eighties.
Hmm, quite sure I have the first but the second doesn't ring any bells, which is odd because my collection of Dragons is extensive and pretty complete for the 80's and 90's. Anybody have the article index on cd handy and could you provide the issue numbers? Thanks.Originally posted by Keklas Rekobah:

I have the CD set. It's much easier to search through, as well as having everything in one place. Well worth it for me at least.Originally posted by WendellM:
"Dwarves in Space" is a three-page article by Roger Moore in February 1983's Dragon 70 (sometimes it's handy having the 250-issue CD set that can search them all in seconds). Two pages of notes on converting AD&D to Traveller, with Dwarves as a focus, and one page of tables with ranks, skill tables, mustering out, aging, dwarven weapons, etc.![]()
This is a FAST way to get yourself banned here. We will not put up with anyone using this forum to pass along illegal copies of copyrighted material.Originally posted by Keklas Rekobah:
I'm not a collector, so a "Mint" quality item is not a requirement, nor is the original item. What would it cost to scan/fax/email a copy?
(This might turn into something involving copyright issues, though...)
May be, but here it will get you banned from these forums.Originally posted by kafka47:
Post your email address and I will contact my FLGS which was plenty of Dragon magazine articles in stock.
In Canada, this would not break the copyright law, so if you are a US citizen, promise not to take to NAFTA tribunal.
Greetings again Baron, I'd say check the links above to the e-bay listings, one of them had many others of that vintage, just click "view sellers other items" or do a search for "Dragon magazine" you'll get a lot of hits, narrow it down with the tabs along the side, check in "games" (I think) for the most likely results. There's also a few game stores/used book stores online and real life that still have some, or yeah, even make me an offer. It doesn't have to be creds, I'll take trade, local currency, bright stones and soft yellow metal, spare parts or fuel for the old ship, whatever.Originally posted by Baron Saarthuran:
How about Dragon Number 64, containing the "URP" based Robot Design System? Where could I get that? Or at least the Article? (Maybe even the Art) I was a fool to part with it way back when...
Blast!
Untill the PIQ answered with a "I'm not a collector, so a "Mint" quality item is not a requirement, nor is the original item. What would it cost to scan/fax/email a copy?" there was no violation after the statement was made Hunter stepped in. Simple as that.Originally posted by kafka47:
Is asking for original paper Dragon Magazines, now illegal on this list? The solicitation of copies would be illegal in both Canada and the US, save if it would be transmitted by electronic format.
New US law does not permit electronic reproduction but does not prevent the sale of copyrighted material without the author's permission. Whereas, in Canada, electronic copying is permitted so long as it does not violate fair use. That is why Napster was legal in Canada but not the use.
So Hunter, what is the violation in soliciting for paper or items that do not violate fair use?
