Damage types

My son created an assault rifle that does bullet 2, blast 4, bang 3. Unfortunately, we can't figure out what those mean.

We THINK they mean 2D of bullet damage, 4D of blast damage, and 3D of bang damage.

But, that leads to a couple of questions:

Does the gun do 9D of damage to a completely unarmored fuzzball? (Specifically thinking of a Chamax here, since that's where they're going next.)

Why does a rifle do more bang damage than bullet damage?

What is blast damage? (Or, where is it defined in the rulebook?) Is blast basically bowling you over (but no actual dice of damage to your stats)? Or is it both?

Same type of questions for other types of damage.

Thanks!

From what this reporter reads, the damage types you mention are:

Two dice of Bullet damage, the kind of damage that will deduct from C1 C2 and C3 unless it is a head hit location.

Four dice of Blast damage, the kind of damage that can cause a Knockdown.

Three dice of Bang, a Sonic attack that can temporarily deafening the target.

The three types will have different effects, hit locations and do damage affect target position after being struck and whether a sense, such as hearing, is disabled.

I made a video a while back that tries to explain personal combat in T5 (not T5.1) that might help. https://youtu.be/ipJivyMWgMs Please excuse the bad sound and note that I misunderstood ranges (a separate video on ranges only fixes that).

At some point I will make a T5.1 replacement (with better sound).
