Page 4 of Supplement 4 mentions that "rates of retirement pay are based on time of service and type of career." This makes the rule for this book sound different than Book 1's retirement pay table (p. 23 in revised ed.) which doesn't vary by career type (presumably nobles should get more than rogues for example). Was a table ever published for Citizens of the Imperium?
